The website is owned, created and managed by a natural person residing in Helsinki, Finland, whose name and contact information are available using the aforementioned links.

In April 2020, Swedish Loopia Group Ltd purchased Planeetta Internet Ltd. Since June 2018, the majority share holder of Loopia Group Ltd is Axcel, a Nordic private equity firm focusing on mid-market companies.

According to corporate information, the staff of Planeetta Internet Ltd and the servers of Domainhotelli Ltd are located in Finland. Thus, the staff and data centres are under Finnish jurisdiction and their operations are required to be compliant with EU data protection directives.

The Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption certificate is issued by Let’s Encrypt, an open, automated and non-profit certificate authority run by Internet Security Research Group (ISRG).

The domain .is used in the URL is registered by the website owner directly with the Icelandic ISNIC – Internet á Íslandi hf., which manages and operates the registry and technical infrastructure for the .is country-code top-level domain.

What personal data is collected and why?

Comments

As a visitor when you leave comments on the website the owner collects the data shown in the comments form. The CMS also collects the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. For a visitor not logged in with WordPress.org, the fields in the form – name, email, comments and website – are all voluntary and the visitor can choose what to share.

Contact form

As a visitor when you use the contact form your name and email address, together with your message, will be sent to the website owner’s email address. This data is collected in order to be able to respond to the submitted message.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on the website you will note that you have an option to save your name, email address and website URL. This information will be stored in cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will be stored for one year.

The following plug-ins are activated on this website and/or its subdomains. In addition, there may be installed plug-ins that are presently not activated. Do note that the quoted privacy policies may not directly be applicable to the plug-ins but to the sites that provide them. Privacy policy regarding some plug-ins is missing.

All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plug-in vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary.

The servers in the web hosting company’s own data centres are powered by renewable energy. In data centres with shared servers all generated CO2 emissions are compensated using the service of CO2Esto Ltd, which acquires emission allowances directly from the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and keeps those allowances off the market.
